Purpose:

The Quality Worklife-Quality Healthcare Collaborative (also referred to as the Collaborative) is a coalition of health leaders working together to create healthier workplaces and to ultimately improve patient care. Since 2005, the Collaborative has successfully developed and launched an evidence-informed Pan-Canadian Action Strategy to improve the quality of worklife in healthcare. It is expected that this next phase of the Quality Worklife-Quality Healthcare Collaborative will: provide organizations with the knowledge and insights required to further implement leading quality of worklife practices in their respective workplaces; augment performance measures used by healthcare organizations and federal/provincial/territorial governments to support healthy healthcare workplaces; increase alignment of quality of worklife strategies across the health system thus increasing uptake of evidence-informed strategies; and ultimately, secure the continued commitment and support of collaborators to champion and sustain quality of worklife improvements in healthcare.
