Working in partnership with Toronto Public Health, Toronto Community Housing Corporation, Northwest Scarborough Youth Centre and Involve Youth, this project is increasing the ability of youth to discuss the risks associated with illicit drug use with their parents and make more informed choices about illicit drugs for themselves. Agincourt Community Services (ACSA) will train youth mentors, develop a community engagement strategy and facilitate drug prevention workshops for the youth and their parents. The project’s evaluation aims to measure key changes in participants’ knowledge, attitudes and behaviours of issues related to illicit drugs. Project deliverables and results will made available for download through ACSA’s website.
